Project Title
Omagh Community House Virtual Receptionist
Outcomes
Interactive Touchscreen Display | VOIP Integrated Visitor Management System
Omagh Community House is home to a range of community and voluntary groups who provide services to the local population. Within this dedicated space these groups can share resources, information, skills and knowledge so that they can provide a better service to their clients and member groups. The brief was to supply a system that was capable of welcoming visitors to the centre and providing information about the tenant organisations in the building.
Working with our Friendlyway partner Taylor Signs, 1440 were able to go a step further and create an Interactive Virtual Receptionist by installing a 40″ Impress touchscreen system. The telephone attached to the Impress is integrated, through VOIP, to the phone system of the building. So a visitor can navigate using the touchscreen to find out about the various organisations in the building and then contact them directly by phone.
A further advantage of the system is the advertising presentation that can be run as a screen saver, with the visitor activating the Virtual Receptionist by means of a proximity sensor on approaching the screen. This will allow the tenants to promote particular events or services and also generate revenue for Omagh Community House through the selling of advertising to third parties. The advertising will be remotely managed by 1440 through our Composer Network.
